The Richmond Olympic Oval
The Richmond Olympic Oval has become the centre of excitement for Richmond. As the venue for long track speed skating events during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, athletes from all over the world got to practice prior to the Games at this world class facility.
Since the Games, the Oval has been renovated to become an international centre for sports and wellness. The multi-use facility brings together summer and winter sports with 2 Olympic-sized ice sheets, 8 basketball courts, 1 indoor 200 metre running track and much more. A new major urban waterfront neighbourhood is currently being developed around the Oval, featuring a mix of residential, commercial and public amenity.
Experience interior and exterior tours of the facility, showcasing its public art and architecture. Catch an international sporting event, workout in the facility or book the Venue for an event or meeting. An Olympic memorabilia portion will be added in July highlighting artifacts, stories and other visuals from the Games.
